SAN FRANCISCO – Feb. 14, 2017 – DefenseStorm, a security data platform that watches everything on a financial institution’s network and matches the data to its policies, has been recognized as the “Cutting Edge Risk Management Solution” by Cyber Defense Magazine. Winners were announced at this year’s RSA Conference in San Francisco. Additionally, DefenseStorm was recently named a finalist in the “Most Innovative” category for this year’s Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.

Each year, Cyber Defense Magazine recognizes companies in numerous categories for their innovations in the field of information security. The magazine received submissions from several early stage and late stage startups, as well as public companies that offer solutions with a compelling value proposition. The judges are certified security professionals who vote based on their independent review of the company’s submission, which includes data sheets, white papers, product literature and other market variables.

The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards also honor individuals, products and companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation and leadership in information security. Winners and finalists for this award are selected based on the strength of their nomination via the popular vote by members of the security and tech community.
