Rooney Dan Promopic

Major Dan Rooney is the founder of the Folds of Honor Foundation, a Fighter Pilot with 3 combat tours in Iraq, the founder of The Patriot Golf Club, a PGA Professional, and author of A Patriot’s Calling—Living Life between Fear and Faith. He was the only motivational team speaker for the US Ryder Cup team in Wales. Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization, provides scholarships to the spouses and children of military service members disabled or killed in action. In five short years Folds of Honor has raised over $70 million and awarded more than 10,000 scholarships to the family members KIA or disabled in combat. A Major in the Air Force Reserve and a decorated military aviator, he is a two-time recipient of the Top Gun award and was honored with the Spirit of Attack award as a top graduate of F-16 training. He has received many decorations to include the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Medal, Anti-terrorism Medal, Combat Readiness Medal and Air Expeditionary Medal. For his service and patriotism—Rooney was presented the White House's “Presidential Volunteer Service Award” by President George W. Bush, the Air National Guard's “Distinguished Service Medal”, the Air National Guard’s “Directors Service Award” and the Ellis Island “Medal of Honor”. He was honored at The Masters Invitational with the “William D. Richardson Award” for his outstanding contributions to golf and received the PGA of America's first-ever “Patriot Award”. He has been recognized as one of People Magazine's “Heroes of the Year”, Money Magazine’s “Hero of the Year” and ABC World News Tonight's “Persons of the Year”. He is a “Significant Sigma Chi” and was featured on NBC World News Making a Difference report.  Rooney founded The Patriot, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed course in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is currently ranked 42nd among American golf courses in Golf Week’s Modern Top 100. Dan serves as the Chief Digital Officer of BankMobile, America's first completely fee-free, mobile-only chartered bank launched in January 2015. BankMobile is a division of Customers Bancorp (NYSE: CUBI). Prior to BankMobile, Dan worked on launching successful mobile banking and payments products for Dutch bank Rabobank (€771 bln), as well as other large banks in countries like Brazil, Rwanda, Paraguay, China, India, Tanzania, Mozambique, Poland, Botswana, Zambia and Cameroon – having worked in 40+ countries.  Dan has distinctive expertise in developing new products, technologies and distribution strategies that accurately match technology with consumers’ needs, instant-account opening and correspondent banking, telecommunications, NFC, alliances, regulatory, feasibility and automation programs. He also worked on contactless payments including establishment of a 3-bank/3-mobile operator TSM in The Netherlands and served for three years on the Board of Directors of mBank Philippines, a mobile-only, nation-wide commercial bank.  Finally, one of the founders and CTO of pioneering Dutch MVNO Rabo Mobiel in the Netherlands.

John has spent the last 25 years as an investment manager, investment strategist and economic strategist for various financial institutions. He joined Huntington in May 2014 as the Chief Investment Officer. Huntington is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio and has over $12 billion in assets under management. Prior to joining Huntington, John was with Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati for 16 years holding various roles, including senior portfolio manager, mutual fund manager, equity team leader, investment strategist and economic strategist. In addition, John was also with Star Banc in Ohio; Heritage Trust and Asset Management in Colorado; and, IDS Financial Services in Colorado. He is a former president and Board member for the Dayton Society of Financial Analysts, and was a long-time adjunct professor in the graduate school at the University of Dayton. John holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst; holds a bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University; and, is a graduate of the Midwest Bankers Association Trust School. He has appeared frequently in the national media – including Fox News, CNBC and Bloomberg.

Peter Christodoulo is a Partner with Francisco Partners and focuses on investments in the financial technology sector.  Prior to joining Francisco Partners in 2008, Peter was an Associate with Thomas H. Lee Partners in Boston. Earlier in his career Peter was an Analyst in the Technology Investment Banking Group of Credit Suisse Securities in New York and involved in several startup companies.  Peter currently serves on the board of directors of Allston Trading, Avangate, Betterment, PayLease, and Paymetric and is involved in FP’s investment in Prosper Marketplace. He previously served on the boards of eFront, City Index and SmartFocus.

Susan A. Eno is the President and CEO of Citizens National Bank in Cheboygan, Michigan; a positon she has held since 2008. Her career with the bank spans more than 45 years during which she held numerous positions focused primarily on deposit functions, including human resources, cashier and executive vice president. Ms. Eno also serves as a director of the bank and its holding company, CNB Corporation, having been elected in 2008. She is a graduate of the School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.  Ms. Eno is currently chair elect of the Michigan Bankers Association and is a member of the American Banker Association Government Relations Council Administrative Committee. She also served as a member of Federal Reserve Bank's Advisory Group, as a trustee of the Michigan Bankers Workers' Compensation Fund Board and as a member of the American Bankers Association Community Bank Council. An avid supporter of Cheboygan and the surrounding area Ms. Eno participated on a number of local boards and organizations, including as a past trustee and chair of the Cheboygan Memorial Hospital board, as a founding member and past board member of the Cheboygan Economic Development Group and Cheboygan Communities Foundation. Currently she is a member of the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance board and the Otsego County Economic Alliance. Additionally, she supports and encourages the involvement of her staff in community and civic organizations within the bank's service area of the northern lower peninsula of Michigan.

 

Gene Lederer Gene Lederer

Gene Lederer rejoined CCMC, the company he founded in 1994, in 2012 as the CEO.  Since that time, he has rebuilt the company into a rapidly growing and profitable provider of mission critical “connective” solutions for both Fintech Vendors and Financial Institutions.  He also is a major shareholder and board member in several other privately held FinTech providers.  Gene was raised in New York and moved to Florida to complete his education at the University of Tampa.  He holds degrees in Accounting, Finance and Economics and has dedicated his 38-year career to the FinTech industry.  In addition to executive positions at NCR, FIS and DH he was previously involved with multiple FinTech start-up that were subsequently acquired.

Gary Norcross is the President and chief executive officer of FIS, Gary Norcross is highly focused on steering and executing FIS’ global business strategy.  Highly respected throughout the industry, Norcross has experience serving financial institutions large and small, domestic and global. He joined FIS in 2003 through the acquisition of ALLTEL Information Services, where he served as president of the Integrated Financial Solutions division in addition to other key leadership roles.  Using a client-focused approach, Norcross has overseen significant growth of FIS’ product portfolio and global footprint. He was critical to the company’s acquisition and integration of Metavante Technologies, Inc., and was heavily involved in FIS’ merger with Certegy and its acquisitions of a large number of companies, including Aurum Technology, BankWare, InterCept and eFunds. More recently he drove the acquisition of SunGard, adding complementary technology solutions and services to the FIS portfolio, including: retail and institutional (or wholesale) banking, payments, risk management, asset solutions and insurance.  Under Norcross’ leadership, FIS has grown to more than 55,000 employees and $9.3 billion in revenue on a pro-forma basis. FIS also ranks consistently among the industry’s leading financial technology providers, including topping the FinTech 100 rankings in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.  Norcross also holds a variety of leadership and board of directors’ roles. He serves on the dean’s executive advisory board for the Sam M. Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas, and is a member of the board of the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast and the Knowledge is Power Program’s (KIPP) Impact School in Jacksonville, Fla.  Norcross holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas.

Dan recently joined FIS’s Global Retail Payments Product Development team.  Prior to his current role, he served as Payments Leader of Seacoast Bank, where he was responsible for all payments related products at the bank.  As part of his role, Dan optimizes existing products, develops new products, sets the strategy for capitalizing upon emerging payment innovations in financial services and creates the environment within the bank through which these innovations are tested, adjusted and brought to market.  Prior to Seacoast Dan was at Visa, where he led product development, marketing strategy and payments innovations in Visa’s relationship with Bank of America on their consumer credit, small business debit and credit, and Merrill Lynch credit programs.  This comprised working closely with the bank’s credit and small business executive teams in developing joint strategies to increase customer loyalty, retention and engagement, while also identifying innovative emerging payment product opportunities including V.me, Visa Offers Platform, Rewards Redemption, eReceipts, Money Transfer, mPOS, and Tokenization among others.

David Peterson

A dynamic and engaging presenter, David has performed thousands of presentations and led dozens of strategic planning sessions and workshops for both financial institutions and FI service providers.  He has been a featured keynote speaker for numerous associations, banking schools, and industry trade groups, including ICBA, NACHA, BAI, and GSBC as well as numerous state and regional associations across the country.  David serves as Chief Strategic Officer of i7strategies, an independent strategic planning and consulting firm for financial services and electronic payment initiatives.  David previously served as Executive Vice President for Q2, a virtual branch software provider where he focused on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, product direction and executive consulting.

Dave is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Consumers Credit Union (CCU), located in Northeast Illinois.  CCU is a $910M community-based credit union serving over 84,000 members.  In his role, Dave leads the marketing department, the wealth management group, and the new account and consumer lending sales team.   Ranked as the 21st highest performing credit union in 2015 by S&P Global Market Intelligence, Consumers Credit Union is deemed a trailblazer with their unique Video Enabled Member Experience (VE-MX) model.  The VE-MX model allows credit union specialists to engage with members via video and discuss high-value products and services.  The VE-MX model empowers the specialists to open new accounts and services with the member during the video interaction.  Prior to joining Consumers Credit Union, Dave served as the Vice President of Business Development with Motorola Credit Union (MECU), where he also gained valuable experience in a variety of sales and lending roles.

John Waupsh is a renowned speaker at top fintech and banking conferences.  With one hand in community banking and the other in fintech, he is well-regarded for balancing straight-talk consultation with research-backed ideation.  Waupsh has pioneered integrated fintech and financial marketing solutions for over a decade, including Kasasa, a national brand of financial products offered exclusively at hundreds of community financial institutions around the United States.  His work has helped Kasasa grab three Finovate "Best of Show" titles, recognition in Fast Company's "10 Most Innovative Companies in Finance," standing in the FinTech Top 100, as well as several MarCom Awards.  Waupsh's first book, Bankruption: How Community Banking Can Survive Fintech, will be published by Wiley in Fall 2016.
